Peggy Lester Tyler: Loris

1942 – 2023

     Peggy Lester Tyler of Loris passed away on Thursday, Aug. 3. She was 81.

     Born July 28, 1942 in Welch, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lucas Lester and the late Madeline Simms Lester. Mrs. Tyler was a member of Clarendon Freewill Baptist Church and worked with Conway Mill for many years.

     Survivors include her special friends, Patricia Delaney, Larry Rhode (Shelia), and Willow Rhode.

     In addition to her parents Mrs. Tyler was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lavone Tyler; a brother, Robert Lester; and a sister, Sonya Floyd.

     Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Hardwick Funeral Home and again one hour prior to services on Thursday at Hardwick Memorial Chapel.

     Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bobby Cartrette officiating, committal services following at Hillcrest Cemetery.
