Linda Diane Cartrette: Clarendon

1951 – 2023

     Linda Diane Cartrette of Clarendon died Thursday, Aug. 17, in her home. She was 72.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Bryant Jasper Williams and Elneta Fowler Williams.

     She is survived by her husband of 52 years John Mack “JM” Cartrette of the home; one daughter, Amy Rogers of Clarendon; a son, John Marty Cartrette of Clarendon; one sister, Sarah Jane Hardee of Loris; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Martin and June Hilburn.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, burial following in the Cartrette Family Cemetery, Williams Road, Clarendon.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
