Mary Kathryn Cribb: Clarendon

1956 – 2023

     Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Cribb of Clarendon died Wednesday, Sept. 27, in her home. She was 67.

     Born June 23, 1956 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late William Vander Edwards and Charlotte Cannady Edwards.

     She is survived by her husband, Anthony “Tony” David Cribb; two daughters, Jessica Maxine Cribb of Raleigh and Alexis Ruth Cribb and husband Benjamin of Clarendon; one brother, Bradley Edwards of Roseboro; a sister, Rita Lassiter and husband Wiley of Clarkton; five grandchildren, Madison Cribb, Austin Brown, Alivia Cribb, Annabelle Brown and Carson Vander Cribb; sister-in-law Sharon Edward Sawyer of Jacksonville; special nieces and nephews Kristen L. Johnson, Camillia Cribb, J. Bryson Cribb, and TJ Cribb; and many other beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, William Douglas Edwards; and father and mother-in-law J.B. and Lydia Cribb.

     Extra special thanks to Krista Hardee, RN, with Liberty Hospice, for the extraordinary compassionate care provided to not only Kathy, but to our entire family through this extremely challenging time in our lives.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Dollie’s Garden, Old Cribbtown Road, Chadbourn.
