Cora Eloise Williams Long: Loris
1936 – 2023
Cora Eloise “Weeze” Williams Long of Loris entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 7. She was 86.
Born Dec. 20, 1936 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Rudolph Williams and the late Cora Arnette Williams. Mrs. Long was a loving homemaker, she worked in retail sales and after school childcare, and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Freddie L. Long (Beth); a daughter: Brenda L. Coats (Dennis); four grandchildren, Wesley Coats (Tanya), Jesse Coats (Terra), Jennifer Long Prince, and Kellie Long Causey (Timmy); four great-grandchildren, Harper Prince, Hudson Prince, Emerson Causey, and Camryn Navey; and one brother, Hosea Lee Williams (Ramesh).
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was predeceased by her husband, Hermon O’Neal Long; one son Edward O’Neal “Tootsie” Long; and a brother, Horace R. Williams.
Family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Agapé Hospice and especially Tracie Spivey for their loving care during this difficult time.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Lawndale Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Johnson and Rev. Dennis Williams officiating, committal services following at Antioch Cemetery.
Family planned to receive friends during the 90-minutes preceding services at the church.
