Toy Duncan: Chadbourn

1943 – 2023

     Toy Duncan of Chadbourn died Friday, Dec. 1, in his home. He was 80.

     Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Abe Duncan and Lottie Cribb Duncan.

     He is survived by his wife, Frances Carol Duncan of Chadbourn; one son, Timothy Toy Duncan (Heather Star) of Chadbourn; a daughter, Wendy Carol Duncan (Patrick JL Roach) of Thomasville; one sister, Betty Duncan of Whiteville; three grandchildren, Frances Bristina Hardin, Madison Clair Duncan, and Timothy Austin Duncan; and a great-grandchild, Payton Elizabeth Corum.

     In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were planned for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
