Mable Cartrette Cribb: Whiteville
1950 – 2024
Mable Cartrette Cribb of the Beaverdam Community, died Saturday, Jan. 13, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, Whiteville. She was 73.
Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Dawson Cartrette and Maude Worley Cartrette.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Cribb of Whiteville; one son, Joey Dewayne Cribb and wife Morgan of Whiteville; a daughter, Aneshia Cribb Ward and husband Gregory of Lake Waccamaw; seven grandchildren, Henry Ward, Dawson Cribb, Laityn Cribb, Mason Cribb, Brantley Nealey, Chreston Cribb, and Maudlyn Cribb.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Cartrette and Robert Cartrette; and one sister, Hazel Tyree.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
