Lyndia Bell Martin: Loris

1947 – 2024

     Lyndia Bell Martin of Loris passed away on March 18, after battling cancer. She was 76.

     Born Dec. 29, 1947 in Loris, she was a daughter of the late L.D. and Annie Bell. She retired from the state where she worked at Green Sea Elementary School as a school bus driver and school aide.

     Lyndia is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, Donald Ray Martin; sons Stony and Steven; five grandchildren; a brother, Gene Bell; a sister, Doris Butler; and other extended family.

     She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Hipskind; and a brother, Leonard Bell.

     Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Zoan Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Adams officiating.

     Burial followed in the Zoan Methodist Church cemetery.
