Shirley Kaye Goff: Tabor City
1949 – 2026
Shirley Kaye Goff (Browder) of Tabor City passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 7, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 76.
Born Aug. 8, 1949 in Horry County, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She shared a lifetime of love with her soulmate, Earl “Chuck” Browder, creating a family that was the center of her life.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Earl “Chuck” Browder; her two sons, Ryland “Chuckie” Browder and wife Holly, of Tabor City and Dale Browder and wife Brittany of Florida. Shirley was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, Breanna Browder of Tabor City, Sierra Browder of Randleman, Diana Browder of Conway and Madison Browder of Conway, Amy Browder and Austin Browder of Florida; and five great grandchildren. She also leaves behind three cherished step grandchildren, Zachary Spivey, Brianna Williamson, and Jayden Williamson, all of Tabor City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janie Burton and Ausbon Goff; and her beloved sister, Joanne Grice.
Shirley will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family, her caring heart, and the many moments shared with those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Shirley will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends. A True Mom and Auntie.
Funeral service were held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
