Garry Clifford Floyd of Greeneville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, at Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee, after a long battle with dementia. He was 81.
Garry was an entrepreneur most of his life and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His favorite past-times were fishing, traveling, and entertaining his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Floyd; children Marce Bearden (Jeremy) of Oklahoma City, Stacey Myers of Columbia, Ashley Ekstedt of Missoula, Montana, Kent Floyd (Crystal) of Charleston, Collin Floyd (Kirsten Sims) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jacqueline Cavnar (Steve) of Brentwood, Tennessee, and April Marsh (Chris) of Greeneville, Tennessee; grandchildren Samuel Bearden, Morgan Bearden, and Molly Bearden of Oklahoma City, Brooke Myers of Charlotte, Austin Myers of Charleston, Lexi Ekstedt and Preston Ekstedt of Missoula, Montana, Ember Floyd and Christian Floyd of Charleston, Stephanie Cavnar of Brentwood, Tennessee, Spencer Marsh (Murray) of Franklin, Tennessee, Tyler Marsh of Knoxville, Tennessee, Watson Marsh and Chloe Marsh of Greeneville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren Sonny Mae Marsh and Owen Marsh of Franklin, Tennessee; a brother, Denny Floyd (Teresa) of Green Sea; and special niece Cortney Floyd Mincey (Chris) of Green Sea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blake and Ruby Floyd of Green Sea and Virginia and Joe Johnson of Loveland, Colorado; and beloved cousin Larry Floyd of North Myrtle Beach.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel, committal services following at Green Sea Cemetery.
Family planned to receive friends during the two hours preceding services at Hardwick Funeral Home.
