Preacher Mark Wayne Lewis: Loris

1963 – 2024

     Preacher Mark Wayne Lewis of Loris passed away on March 29 at McLeod Loris hospital. He was 60.

     Born on June 3, 1963, in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Marcus Thurmond Lewis and the late Patsy Lou Hanson.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Lorah B. Lewis; son Jonathan “Jon” Lewis; daughter Olivia “Katie” George; a sister, Teresa Parrish (Jim); one grandson on the way, Arlo Marcus; five nephews, Michael Naylor, Alex Naylor, Jordan Holstein, Griffin Holstein, and Jamison Lewis; and a niece, Morgan Holstein.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was predeceased by his brother, John Lewis.

     Memorial services were planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Black officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at the church.
