Annette Ray Cartrette (Mimi) of Tabor City died on April 11. She was 84.
Born April 11, 1940 in Columbus County. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Beaulah Ray of Tabor City.
Annette is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Wayne Cartrette; and three children, Lorie Cartrette Morrow (Jared), Karen Cartrette Fussell (Jamie), and Kevin Wayne Cartrette (Shirley).
Annette has five grandchildren Derek Morrow, Jeremy Morrow (Tiani), Carie Loosman (Brandon), Bryce Cartrette (Kristina), and Jenna McDonald (Christian).
Annette also has 5 great grandchildren Bayden Cartrette, Ryler Cartrette, Emery McDonald, Jackson Morrow, and Luka Morrow.
Annette has two surviving brothers, Wilbert Ray and Joe Ray both of Tabor; and was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Ray, Elderidge Ray, Faxon Ray, Fred Ray, and Franklin Ray.
Annette’s greatest passion in life was gardening and she created a beautifully landscaped home and garden.
A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in Iron Hill Baptist Church.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
