Betty Pearl Small Strickland: Green Sea

1939 – 2024

     Betty Pearl Small Strickland of Green Sea died Thursday, April 11, in McLeod Loris hospital. She was 84.

     Born Nov. 14, 1939 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Fussell Small and Lena Spivey Small and the widow of Lonnie Earl Strickland.

     She is survived by two sons, Danny Earl Strickland of Green Sea and Jason “Spider” Strickland of Conway; three sisters, Doris Hewett of Calabash, Sherry Powell of Whiteville, and Marilyn Holmes of Loris; four grandchildren, Kaylee Tindall (Dylan), Summer Norris (Hunter), Brittany Strickland and Trevor Daniel Strickland; and two great grandchildren, Autumn Rayne and Easton Rhett Norris.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Reece Wilson Small; and three sisters, Martha Fowler, Louise Hinson and Sandra Kay Causey.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, April1 5, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
