Irene Fowler Phipps: Tabor City
1935 – 2024
Irene Fowler Phipps of Tabor City went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 15, in her home with her daughters by her side. She was 88.
Born Nov. 6, 1935 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Jettie Roscoe Fowler and Essie Lewis Fowler and widow of Robert Glenn Phipps.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Phipps Fipps (David) of Ash and Glenda Gerrald (Scotty) of Loris; one sister, Kathleen Fipps of Loris; three grandchildren, Ashlee Clemons (Brett) of Tabor City, Kasey Gerrald and Landon Gerrald, both of Loris; and one great grandchild, River Mizzell.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William “Bud” Roscoe Fowler, Charles Wayne Fowler and Jerry Lynn Fowler; and two sisters, Juanita Porter and Willa Mae Norris.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
