Teresa Britt: Tabor City
1953 – 2024
Teresa Britt of Tabor City went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 10, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCareCenter in Whiteville. She was 70.
She was born June 1, 1953 in Loris. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas Ward and Joyce Milligan Ray; a brother, Roy Ward, and her husband, Jackie Phillip Britt.
Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a great love for Jesus and her family. She also had a great desire to do for others and share her love of crafting with her family and friends. She was known for her bright smile and kind spirit. She will be missed deeply by all that knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Spivey of Clarendon and Toni Stocks (Ward) of Tabor City; one sister, Linda Kay Jordan (Charles) of Tabor City; a brother, Mitchell Ward (Margaret) of Tabor City; her beloved grandchildren, Landon Stocks (Olivia), Alexis Godwin (Tripp), Victoria Godwin (Codey), Luke Stocks (Sara) and Levi Stocks all of Tabor City.
She also had three special nieces and a nephew, Leigh (Chris), Brandy (Robbie, Tate, Carter), Jessica (Neil, Logan, Zachary) and Chris (Tim).
Her funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Iron Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Willoughby officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
