Zorradah Dean Blackburn Rogers: Loris
1931 – 2024
Zorradah Dean “Crickett” Blackburn Rogers of Loris passed away on Friday, April 19. She was 92.
Born Sept. 28, 1931, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Guy Blackburn and the late Edith Cleo Norris Blackburn.
Crickett was an active member of Loris First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved music and was a lifelong member of the Loris Music & Literary Club. She had an unwavering love for her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Edi Rogers Cox and husband, Steve of Loris; her grandchildren, Alexander David Rogers and wife, Florence of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Stephanie Cox Atwood and husband, Ryan, and Meredith Cox all of Charlotte; her great-grandchildren, Hollis Alexander Rogers and Alexandra Lewis Atwood; and her dear sister, Billie Faye Caines of Loris.
Crickett has been reunited with her beloved husband Lide Harold Rogers who passed away in 1996; and her son, Charles “Charlie” Alexander Rogers, who passed away earlier this year.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Loris First Baptist Church with Rev. Hunter Johnson officiating, committal services following at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
Family planned to receive friends during the your preceding services in the church.
