Danny Lee Nobles, Jr.: Tabor City

2003 – 2024

     Danny Lee Nobles, Jr. lovingly known as “DJ”, of Tabor City died early Saturday morning, May 4, , following injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Conway. He was 20.

     DJ was born Aug. 16, 2003. He was a graduate of South Columbus High School, and he was a member of the Tabor City Fire Department (1170).

     He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Phillips Hill and her husband, Roberht; his father, Danny Lee Nobles, Sr. and wife, Tasha; siblings Brady Nobles, Cashman Anderson, Zeykl Hill, Aniyah Hill, Noah Nobles, Melody Nobles, Olivia Hill; step-brothers, Blake Buffkin, Eric Ham, Dylan Thomas, William Thomas; grandparents Ronald and Patricia Ward, Alvie and Betty Phillips, Rita Phillips and Michael Duncan, Victor Hill; a nephew, Everett Lee Nobles; and a host of aunts and uncles.

     He was preceded in death by his sister, Jayleigh Hill; grandmothers, Elizabeth Hill, Kathy Phillips and grandfather, Ray Bunch.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Worthington Funeral Home, Chadbourn.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Forest Lawn Baptist Church, interment following in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
