Agnes Gertrude McQueen Lee: Longs

1939 – 2024

     Agnes Gertrude McQueen Lee of Longs passed away on Saturday, May 25, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital. She was 84.

     Born Dec. 4, 1939, in Mullins, she was the daughter of the late Arthur McQueen Sr. and the late Mary Pinson McQueen.

     Mrs. Lee was an elementary teacher until her retirement, and a dedicated member of Today’s Harvest Church in North Myrtle Beach.

     Survivors include her son, Richard Earl Lee of Longs; daughter-in-law Sandra Lee of North Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, Kristin Lloyd (Eddie), Andrea Watts (Trent), Joshua Lee, and Kayla Holmes; seven great-grandchildren, Annslee, Brylee, Ethan, Jaxson, Charlie, Waylan, and Evelyn; her brother, Arthur McQueen, Jr. and wife Jayne of Spartanburg; her sister, Mary Brogdon and husband Tommy of Loris; brother-in-law Bill Ward Cox of Ocean Isle Beach; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Hickman Levon Lee; her son, Joel Levon Lee; her grandson, Jarrett Lee; and her sister, Jean Cox.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, in the Hardwick Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rick Smith and Reverend Bill Wines officiating, with private committal services.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the chapel.
