Rhonda Vicki Cox: Tabor City

1958 – 2024

     Rhonda Vicki Cox of Tabor City died Friday, June 28, in her home surrounded by her family. She was 65.

     Born July 9, 1958 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Vardel Hughes and Lila Johnnie Mae Caison.

     Survivors include her husband, Nolton Cox of Tabor City; a son, Jeremy Nolton Cox (Jenn) of Little River; two brothers, Nathaniel Vardel Hughes, Jr. of Nakina and Kevin Neil Hughes of Virginia; six grandchildren, Harleigh Cox, Caleb Buffkin, Olivia Simmons, Billy Mann, Robert Simmons, and Joseph Mann; and one great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Buffkin.

     A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
