Larry Dale Troupe: Tabor City

1950 – 2024

     Larry Dale Troupe of Tabor City died Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville. He was 74.

     Born on April 17, 1950 in New Hanover County, he was the son of the late Willis Dewey Troupe and Ida Mae Coleman Troupe.

     He is survived by one son, Michael Troupe of Lumberton; step-daughter Jessica Turbeville Robinson of Whiteville; step-son Wayne McCumbee of North Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Gore Troupe; and a daughter, Jill Troupe Mills.

     Family extends a special thank you to Ellen Massingil and Magan Cartrette of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, Whiteville, for their care and compassion.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, in the Inman Ward Funeral home Chapel. Burial will be private.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
