Jerry Edward Grainger: Tabor City

1943 – 2024

     Jerry Edward Grainger of Tabor City died on Saturday, Aug. 10, in UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton. He was 80.

     Born Nov. 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Ruffin Levi Grainger and Addie Grainger. He attended Southeastern Church of God where he played the guitar.

     He is survived by two sisters, Lula Bell “Ernestine” Grainger Russ of Tabor City and Priscilla Gable of Lexington; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Brown Clemons of Tabor City.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Brown Grainger; three brothers; and eight sisters.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
