Noella (Lachance) Coderre: Loris

1945 – 2024

     Noella (Lachance) Coderre passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at her home in Loris. She was 78.

     Mrs. Coderre was born Sept. 20, 1945 to the late Ernest Joseph Lachance and the late Lorraine Chartier Lachance. She was wed to the love of her life, Gerald Coderre, on May 30, 1964, and married for almost 57 years before his passing on April 23, 2021. She resided in Chicopee, Massachusetts until moving to South Carolina in 2014.

     She was not only a great mother to her six children, but also worked for the family-owned business, The Agawam Public Market. She enjoyed spending time working around her yard, flower gardens, making puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and visiting with her friends.

     Above all else, she adored spending time with her family. Mrs. Coderre was an active member of her church, the Catholic Church of the Resurrection.

     She is survived by her six children, Daniel Coderre and wife Rebecca of Monson, Massachusetts, Gerald Coderre Jr. and fiancé’ Roxanne Kusek of South Hadley, Massachusetts, Patricia Coderre-Guyette of Loris, Rene Coderre and wife Stacey, of Granby, Massachusetts, Jennifer Romanovicz and husband Thomas, of Conway, Massachusetts, Jeffrey Coderre and wife Lisa, of Monson, Massachusetts; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings Estelle Houle and husband Robert, Paul Lachance and wife Jenny, Mary Ann Rosinski and husband Donald, Daniel Lachance and wife Patty, Pauline Clapp and husband Raymond, Richard Lachance and wife Carey; sister-in-law Theresa Fedier; and her many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters-in-law Jean Goyette, Sheila Coderre, and Pauline Coderre; and brothers-in law Donald Coderre, Roger Coderre, John Fedier, and Jim Goyette.

     A Funeral Mass was planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris. Inurnment services will be private.
