Judy Lane Watts: Tabor City

     Judy Lane “Lily” Watts of Tabor City died Wednesday, Aug. 28, in her home. She was 73.

     Born April 18, 1951 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Livingston and Maggie Thompson Livingston.

     Judy attended school at Loris High School and spent the majority of her life in Horry and Columbus Counties. Her career spanned several roles in the service industry, including positions at RadioShack, Country Satellites and Videos, Loris Manufacturing and the Tabor City ABC Store. Throughout her childhood and adult years, Judy was notably athletic, competing in karate and participating in adult basketball leagues. She had a deep passion for travel, socializing and being surrounded by her family. Judy also cherished stargazing and relished the beauty of the outdoors.

     Survivors include her son, Jody Watts and wife Alissa and their children Kai Watts and Rylan Watts of Green Sea; a brother, Ricky Livingston of Loris; a sister, Loraine “Charlie” Hardwick and husband Michael of Tabor City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watts was predeceased by her brothers, Billy Ray Livingston, Jerry “Petty” Livingston, Mitchell “Jake” Livingston, Billy Joe Livingston, John D. Livingston, Paul Livingston, WL Livingston; and her sisters, Earline Phipps and Joyce Ann “Susie” Livingston.

     Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
