Wanda Jacobs Hucks: Loris

1958 – 2024

     Wanda Jacobs Hucks of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 66.

     Born April 24, 1958 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late John Paul Jacobs and the late Virginia Causey Jacobs.

     Mrs. Hucks taught at Grace Christian School for many years. She loved cats, making people laugh, and could talk to anyone.

     Survivors include her sons, Christopher Kelly Hucks (Leslie) and Samuel Brett Hucks (Alicia); seven grandchildren, Taylor Strickland, Ansley Hucks, Kurtis Hucks, Brody Hucks, Ryleigh Hucks, Charlie Hucks, and Nolan Hucks; special cousin Linda Rheuark; and many loving cousins and extended family.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hucks was predeceased by her brother, John P. Jacobs, II.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at Hardwick Funeral Home.
