William Walter Spivey: Loris

1943 – 2024

     William “Bill” Walter Spivey of Loris passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, at McLeod Loris hospital. He was 81.

     Born May 14, 1943 in Loris, he was the son of the late William Enoch Spivey and the late Ruby Hamilton Spivey.

     Mr. Spivey served his country with courage, honor, and distinction in the United States Army, and was a member of Bayboro Baptist Church.

     Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Spivey and her mother Alma Vaught; grandchild Michaela Kioseff; great-grandchild Kaiden Brown; brothers W.E. Spivey, Jr. (Willa), and J.C. Spivey; and a sister, Annie Blanch Rose (Grady).

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Spivey was predeceased by his two sisters, Margie Rabon and Joanne Oberg.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Hardwick Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Alford officiating. Private committal services were planned.
