Roger Edwin Fowler, Sr.: Loris

1952 – 2024

     Roger “Rock” Edwin Fowler, Sr. passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, in his home in Loris. He was 71.

     Mr. Rock Fowler was born Dec. 17, 1952, in Conway, the son of the late Owen Rochelle Fowler and the late Louvenia Tyler Fowler. He retired after 45 years of faithful service with Ford’s Fuel and Propane, and was a member of Old Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.

     Survivors include his wife, Sandy Fowler of the home; two sons, Roger Edwin Fowler, Jr. (Maureen) and Brad Fowler; four daughters, April Baker (Dutch), Piper Vacca (Milo), Tammy Gerrald, and Heather Gerrald, brother, Winston Othell Fowler (Katie); two sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Baker (Danny) and Rita Boyd; and many loving grand and great-grandchildren.

     Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Old Springfield Cemetery with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
