Mable Faye Richardson Fowler: Tabor City
1924 – 2024
Mable Faye Richardson Fowler of Tabor City died Thursday, Nov. 21, in her home. She was 100.
Born Nov. 8, 1924 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late William Chillie Richardson and Leila Clyde Fowler Richardson.
She worked at Loris Community Hospital as a nursing assistant for 30 years.
She is survived by one son, Stan Douglas Fowler of Tabor City; two daughters, Beverly Fowler Coburn and husband Julian of Myrtle Beach and Pamela Kaye Fowler of Little River; one grandson, Julian Lynch “Trae” Coburn III of Murrells Inlet; a great grandson, Dalton Wyatt Coburn of Murrells Inlet; and one sister, Janice Richardson of Lake Waccamaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Douglas Fowler; three brothers, Junior Richardson, Ervin Richardson and Eugene Richardson; and three sisters, Estelle Grooms, Hazel Williamson and Jeanette Fowler.

Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in Tabor City Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
