Charles Edge: Loris

1944 – 2024

     Charles Edge of Loris passed away on Friday, Dec. 20. He was 80.

     Mr. Edge was born in Clarendon, a son of the late Charlie and Bertha Edge. He was a member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Air Force.

     Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Edge of Loris; one daughter, Tara Branton of Loris; a son, Michael Edge of Charleston; four grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Hinson officiating, burial following in the church cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.
