Janice Branton Rhue: Tabor City

1964 – 2025

     Janice Branton Rhue of Tabor City died Sunday, Jan. 12, in her home. She was 60.

     Born May 8, 1964 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Hodge and Annie Lee Todd Hodge.

     She is survived by her husband, Robert Alton Rhue, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Ashley Cartrette (Brandon) of Whiteville and Samantha Williamson (Myron) of Clarendon; three sons, Justin Spivey and Robert Rhue, Jr. of Tabor City and Curtis Rhue (Sharon) of Whiteville; two brothers, Monroe Hodge and Ray Hodge of Tabor City; and thirteen grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Hodge; and three sisters, Katie Bell, Rose Cumber, and Lillie Graham.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in the Spivey Simmons Family Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
