Sara Alice Davis Smallwood: Tabor City

1941 – 2025

     Sara Alice Davis Smallwood of Tabor City died Monday Jan. 6, in her home. She was 83.

     Born in Cordova, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Foide Davis and Emmie Eldis Mills Davis.

     She is survived by one son, Shane Bryan Smallwood of Tabor City; a daughter, Candice Marie Russell of Tabor City; special niece Glenda Kay Giroux of Clarendon; three nieces; and two nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Smallwood; two brothers, Earl Jackson Davis and Jimmy Ernest Davis; and one sister, Hester Maxine Spivey.

     Graveside services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends following services in the cemetery.
