Judy Gail Chestnut Herring: Florence

1967 – 2025

     Judy Gail Chestnut Herring of Florence passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, at McLeod Florence Hospital. She was 57.

     Born July 18, 1967, in Loris, she was the daughter of Judy Gail Ganis Chestnut and the late Giles Wendell Chestnut.

     In addition to her mother survivors include her loving husband, Drake Herring; step-sons Matthew Herring and Nicholas Herring; four grandchildren; brothers Windell Chestnut and Wayne “Bird” Chestnut; mother-in-law Carol Borger; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to her father, Mrs. Herring was predeceased by her sister, Carol Ann Chestnut Hall.

     Memorial services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Neal Nolan officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at Hardwick Funeral Home.

     Family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
