Bayliss Richard Klouser: Loris
1931 – 2025
Bayliss Richard Klouser of Loris went on to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 3. He was 93.
Born Aug. 24, 1931, in Hegins, Pennsylvania, he was the youngest of four siblings, and the son of the late Harry W. Klouser and the late Minnie Minerva Klouser. Mr. Klouser was of the Protestant faith.
After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He received the “National Defense Service Medal”, as well as the “Good Conduct Medal”. He spent the next 20 years traveling the world, twice with his family. After retiring, he went on to pursue the finer things in life like hunting, fishing and family life.
“Bill,” as most of his friends knew him, enjoyed growing fruits and spending time with his wife, Betty. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Betty Leigh Klouser of Loris; a son, Bill Klouser (Alicia) of Surfside Beach; and two granddaughters, Mary Alexis Klouser and Bailey Rae Klouser.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Klouser was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Teresa Gail Cox; a brother, Roy Klouser; and sisters Mary Klouser and Hilda Klouser.
Funeral services, with military honors, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ron Taylor officiating. Committal services were private.
