Betty Jo Britt Kidd: North Myrtle Beach

1932 – 2025

     Betty Jo Britt Kidd passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, at her home in North Myrtle Beach. She was 92.

     Born July 9, 1932, in Green Sea, she was the daughter of the late Cortez Britt and the late Blanche Sarvis Britt Sechrest.

     Survivors include her loving children, Nora Deneen Kidd Amos, Edward Stanley Kidd, III, and Michael Lindsay Kidd; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kidd was predeceased by her loving husband, The Honorable Judge Edward Stanley Kidd, Jr, and stepfather, Monte L. Sechrest.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Charles Brust officiating, committal services following at Green Sea Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at the funeral home.
