Randal Dale Cox: Loris
1952 – 2025
Randal Dale Cox passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, at his residence in Loris. He was 72.
Born Oct. 12, 1952, in Loris, he was the son of the late William “Bill” Lucian Cox and the late Beatrice Louise Strickland Cox.
Mr. Cox worked at Regal-Beloit Manufacturing as a machinist until his retirement in 2015 and was a member at Olyphic Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener, deer hunter, coon hunter, and fisherman. He loved his grand”fur babies,” Bella, Ellie, Marley, and Roxy and spent most of his days playing with them and riding them uptown to get sausage biscuits. He will forever be remembered for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, his ability to “cut up” with everyone, and the admirable love he had for his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years and high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Ann Cox; sons Dale Cox (Tammy) and Neal Cox (Sabrina); four grandchildren, Brooke Cox, Alexis Cox, Tanner Cox, and Lainey Cox; a brother, Billy Ray Cox (Peggy Jean); nephews Brandon Cox, and Jason Cox; great nephew Levi Cox; and great niece Audrey Cox.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Olyphic Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Terry Faulkenbury and Rev. Dr. Wayne Brown officiating. Committal service followed at Olyphic Baptist Church Cemetery.
