Alice Marie Williamson Hammond: Chadbourn

1939 – 2025

     Alice Marie Williamson Hammond of Chadbourn went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3, at her residence. She was 85.

     Mrs. Hammond was born Nov. 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Rosada McPherson Williamson and Emory Nubert Williamson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Dwane Hammond, and her brother, Robert Lee Williamson.

     She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Gail Hammond; a son, Edwin “Ed” Hammond of Chadbourn; daughter-in-law Debbie Fowler Hammond of Loris; and grandson Gage Fowler Hammond of Loris.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Williamsons Crossroads Baptist Church with Pastor Trenton Ford and Rev. Jim Lamb officiating, burial following in the church cemetery.

     Visitation was planned from 1 to 1:45 p.m., prior to services in the church.
