Tonie Thompson: Loris

1945 – 2025

     Tonie Thompson of Loris passed away on Friday, March 21, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 79.

     Born Aug. 9, 1945, in Hallsboro, he was the son of the late John Pickett Thompson and the late Atwood Jones Thompson.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Patricia Ann Thompson; sons Charles Thompson (Tammy) and Michael Skipper; a daughter, Michelle McMahon; granddaughters Chassika Carter (Jason), and Tabitha Rhodes (Matthew); great-grandchildren Jada Carter, Bryleigh Carter, Daylon Carter, and Bailey Rhodes; and a nephew, Joe Rhodes.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his brothers, Bobby Thompson and J.P. Thompson; and sisters Eva Thompson, and Margie Rhodes.

     Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
