Lennon Roland Gore: Tabor City

1942 – 2025

     Lennon Roland Gore of Tabor City died Thursday, March 27, in his home. He was 82.

     Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late John Roland Gore and Velma Inez Jordan Gore.

     Lennon graduated from Tabor City High School class of 1960.

     He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Brown Gore; three sons, Joey Gore, Rod Gore (Kelly) Michael Rozier; a daughter, Gina Williams (Bunkie); three sisters, Brenda McDonough (Mac), Jordan Gore Lawrence, Angela Gore Grainger; four stepchildren, Jack Walker (Debbie), Robert Walker (Paula), Valerie Walker, and Jeanette Walker; ten grandchildren, Wesley, Alicia, Jason, Robert, Lynette, Eric, Josh, Sidney, Allison, McKenzie; eleven great grandchildren, Valerie, Caydance, Carlie, Layla, Jason, Cora, C.J., Atlicus, Jack, Tyler, and Ean.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Leia; and a brother, John Allison Gore.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, in Gore Cemetery, Miller Road, Tabor City.

     Family planned to greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
