Mary Estalene Hodges: Tabor City

1942 – 2025

     Mary Estalene Hodges of Tabor City died Friday, March 28, in McLeod Loris hospital, Loris. She was 83.

     Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Woodrow Ray and Ester Ward Ray.

     She was a member of Jones Street Missionary Baptist Church, Tabor City.

     She is survived by her children, Darryle Gene Hodges (Sabrina) of Reidville, Michelle Espinoza (Jesus) of Clarendon, and Brian Hodges (Brandy) of Easley; a brother, Ervin Woodrow Ray of Prince George, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Blake, Kassidy, Jesse, Ashleigh, Megan, Kevin, Taylor; and one great grandchild, Paul Dibert.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dale Hodges.

     A graveside service was planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation was planned from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., ahead of the graveside service in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
