Loraine Ann Bruce Collins: Loris

1943 – 2025

     Loraine Ann Bruce Collins of Loris passed away on April 4, at her home. She was 81.

     Born May 24, 1943, in Newcomb, New York, she was the daughter of the late Albert Allen Bruce and the late Cecile Seney Bruce.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, James “Deacon Jim” Howard Collins; sons John Howard Collins (Tracy) and Jerome “Jerry” Harold Collins; brothers, Fred Bruce, Loren Bruce, and Allen Bruce; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was predeceased by her brother, Carl Bruce; and a sister, Lena Balch.

     A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at Catholic Church of the Resurrection officiated by Father Ray Leonard. Entombment followed at Red Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.

     Family asks that memorials be made to Catholic Church of the Resurrection, Building Fund, 204 Heritage Road, Loris, SC 29569.
