Elizabeth Cartrette Branson: Chadbourn

1937 – 2025

     It is with great sadness that our beloved Elizabeth Cartrette Branson of Chadbourn departed this earth peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Good Friday, April 18, after an extended battle with dementia. She was 87.

     Elizabeth was born June 27, 1937 to the late Jesse and Bessie Cartrette.

     She is survived by her children, Denise Kiley of Raleigh and Tim Evans of Fishkill New York; her brother, Don Cartrette of Chadbourn; sisters Bernice Griffen of Chadbourn and Bonnie Williams of Whiteville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
