Rodney James Long: Loris

1966 – 2025

     Rodney James Long of Loris passed away on Thursday, May, 29, in Loris. He was 58.

     Born Nov. 20, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son Ashley Jean DiMario and the late Dale “Dino” Dean Long, Jr. Rodney loved music and was especially proud of his father’s musical legacy. Rodney was a gentle, simple, and loving soul; someone whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

     Survivors include his mother, Ashley Jean DiMario; his sister, Michelle Warren (Jim); three nephews, Jason Dean Moss, Joshua Lee Moss (Ashley), and Matthew Randall Moss (Jamie); and five great-nieces and nephews, Jersey Lee Moss, Aubrey Renee Moss, Lincoln Dean Moss, Paisley Elaine Moss, and Bella Parr.

     In addition to his father, Dale Dean Long, Jr., Mr. Long was predeceased by his brother, Randall Moss.

     Memorial services will be held at a later date.
