Mary Frances Hilburn Todd Strickland: Loris

1932 – 2025

     Mary Frances Hilburn Todd Strickland of Loris passed away on Monday, June 16, at her home surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. She was 93.

     Born April 19, 1932, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Hilburn and the late Mertie Lou Harrelson Hilburn.

     Survivors include her five loving children, Brice Todd, Mitchell Todd, Sandra Lewis, Carl Todd, and Glenn Todd; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strickland was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Todd; brothers Ancil Hilburn, Lester Hilburn, Paul Hilburn, Lloyd Hilburn, and Dewey Hilburn; sisters Inez Atwell, Essie Mae Booth, Ruth Gerald, and Mila Causey.

     Funeral services were held at noon Thursday, June 19, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Trent Hucks officiating. Committal services followed at Old Springfield cemetery.
