Shirley Grey Rockwell Bragg: Clarendon

1941 – 2025

     Shirley Grey Rockwell Bragg of Clarendon passed away Monday, Aug. 11, in her home. She was 84.

     Born Aug. 5, 1941 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Rockwell and Clara Mae Butler Rockwell.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Wallace Spivey, Joseph “Mitchell” Williams, and Dairl Bragg; and two sisters, Thelma Soles and Faye Larrimore.

     She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Simmons (Richard) of Clarendon; a son, Mitchell Williams (Christie) of Simpsonville; five grandchildren, Ashley Corcelius (Aaron) of Bladenboro, Robbie Cribb (Adam) of Whiteville, Randi Harper (Drake) of Whiteville, Abigail Williams of Simpsonville, and Emily Williams of Simpsonville; and six great grandchildren, Silas Corcelius, Lydia Corcelius, Lynden Corcelius, Cullen Harper, Anareese Harper, and Emersyn Harper.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug.14, in Iron Hill Baptist Church, burial following in Danny Soles Cemetery.
