Betty Faye Hardee Brooks: Loris

1940 – 2025

     Betty Faye Hardee Brooks of Loris passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, at her home. She was 85.

     Born May 11, 1940, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Oree Hardee and the late Retha Mae Jacobs Hardee.

     Survivors include her loving children, Barry Brooks and Kelly Strickland; a sister, Patsy H Smith; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren,

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was predeceased by her husband, William Gerald Brooks.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Camp Swamp United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Dameron officiating, committal services following at Bellamy-Brooks cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to services, at Hardwick Funeral Home.
