Ronny Sheppard: Loris

1956 – 2025

     Ronny Sheppard of Loris passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, at his home. He was 69.

     Born March 23, 1956, in Thomaston, Georgia, he was the son of the late Candler “Buck” Sheppard and the late Lavena Benefield Sheppard.

     Mr. Sheppard served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Air Force.

     Survivors include his loving children, Leigh Ann Stevens, Ronny Sheppard, Jr., Dixie Lynn Woods; sisters Janice Boggs and Cathy Corley; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and other extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheppard was predeceased by his brothers, Larry Sheppard and Tommy Sheppard; and a sister, Brenda Sheppard.

     Memorial services will be held in spring 2026.
