Barbara Faye Harrelson Tyler: Olanta

1939 – 2026

     Barbara Faye Harrelson Tyler of Olanta passed away on Wednesday, April 15, at her daughters’ home. She was 86.

     Born Nov. 9, 1939, in Dillon, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Allen Harrelson and the late Valley Vernell Moody Harrelson.

     Survivors include her loving children, Emory Stephens, Barbara Nell Howard, Teresa Suddreth, and Mary Darlene Rogers; six grandchildren; and many loving great-grandchildren and other extended family.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tyler was predeceased by her husband, Hoyt Elwood Tyler; and brothers J.W. Harrelson, Boyd Allen Harrelson, and Freddie Harrelson.

     Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Cane Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Johnson and Rev. Ross Altman officiating. Committal services followed at Cane Branch Cemetery.
