Jerry Lynn Skipper: Loris

1939 – 2026

     Jerry Lynn Skipper of Loris passed away on Saturday, April 25, at E. Roy Stone Veterans House in Columbia. He was 86.

     Born July 6, 1939, in Marion, he was the son of the late George Wesley Skipper and the late Myrtle Elizabeth Hayes Skipper.

     Mr. Skipper served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Navy and retired as supervisor from the United States Postal Service.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Loraine Carter Skipper; sons Wesley Lynn Skipper and William Livingston; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Skipper was predeceased by his son, Gregory Chuck Skipper; and brothers Ronald Skipper and Thomas Ray Skipper.

     Memorial services will be held at a later date.
