De Lois Delean “Brandy” Crouse: Loris

1940 – 2026

     De Lois Delean “Brandy” Crouse of Loris passed away on Tuesday, June 16, in her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was 85.

     Born Oct. 21, 1940, in Hillsdale, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Henry B. Cobb and Rethea Richardson Cobb.

     She is survived by her children, Julia Ann Alessi, Tina Owens, David Owens, Gary Owens, and Laura Ogden; a sister, Debbie Hathway; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner of 30 years, J.W. Polk; two brothers, George Cobb and Sonny Cobb; and two sisters, Nell Norman and Linda King.

     A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
