Hazel Lee Andrews Pigott: Tabor City

1929 – 2026

     Hazel Lee Andrews Pigott of Tabor City died Monday, Aug. 17. She was 97.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late George Kendall Andrews and Ethel Todd Andrews.

     She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Stanley and husband Kenny of Tabor City; two sisters, Bonnie Miller and Wanda Thompson of Tabor City; one granddaughter, Michelle Coleman and husband Bryon of Greenville, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Sydney Ogburn and husband David of Jacksonville, Florida, Fisher Coleman of Raleigh, Everett Blackmon of Rocklin, California, Jude Stanley of Whiteville, Elizabeth Jackson and husband Wesley of Raleigh, Riley Britt of Whiteville; and one great-great-grandchild, Jace Jackson of Raleigh; and Amy Stanley (Jay’s wife) of Whiteville.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Danny” Warren Pigott; one son, Larry Pigott; two grandsons, Scott Blackmon and Jay Stanley; a brother, GK Andrews; two sisters, Estalene York and Estelle Smith.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, in Forest Lawn Baptist Church, Tabor City.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in Forest Lawn Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
