Kenny Delwood Cox: Clarendon

1956 – 2026

     Kenny Delwood Cox of Clarendon died Sunday, Sept. 27, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville. He was 70.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Thomas Cox and Laura Heath Grantham.

     He is survived by two daughters, Tanya Martinez (Alfredo) and Sarah Nunez (Eldher) of Clarendon; two sisters, Kathy Powell (Frankie) of Tabor City and Melissa Ransom (Charles) of Bladenboro; two brothers, Monroe “Dee” Grantham (Princess) of Tabor City and Rodney Cox (Annie) of Burlington; grandchildren Nathan Martinez (Kenzie Long) Jazmin Martinez, Samantha Miller (Dylan), Cristian Nunez, Mikayla Nunez, Nickolas Nunez; and three great grandchildren, Oliver Martinez, Archie Martinez, and Mason Miller.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Gaye Grantham.

     Visitation was planned from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
