Wanda Faye Smith: Tabor City

1942 – 2023

     Wanda Faye Smith of Tabor City died Sunday, Nov. 5, in her home. She was 81.

     Born Aug. 29, 1942 in Clearwater, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Thelma Touchston Tyree.

     She is survived by her husband, Cody Donald Smith of Tabor City; two daughters, Kristal Brown of Tabor City, and Phyllis Miller of Lucedale, Mississippi; a son, Stephen Yohn of Texas; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Yohn; and three brothers, Mickey Tyree, Wayne Tyree, and Wilson Tyree.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Emmanuel Holiness Church, burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
